Kanileʻa KG-4 Pro Guitar

As of January 2026, guitars are backordered approximately 4–6 months from time of order.

The Kanileʻa KG-4 Pro represents a new benchmark in the Kanileʻa guitar line, designed without compromise for players seeking the highest level of performance, refinement, and detail. Built as a fully realized Pro-level instrument, the KG-4 Pro blends master-grade Hawaiian koa with player-focused innovations and elevated craftsmanship, resulting in a guitar that is as expressive and comfortable as it is visually striking.

The KG-4 Pro is built on Kanileʻa’s refined OOO body shape, offering exceptional balance, comfort, and projection. A 25.0" scale length and 1.75" nut width provide confident feel, comfortable string spacing, and excellent note separation across the fingerboard. Finished in a durable UV-cured gloss, the instrument features Kanileʻa’s proprietary TRG-X bracing system, engineered with strategic mass reduction to allow increased soundboard movement and reduced overall weight while maintaining structural integrity and long-term stability.

Crafted with Master Grade Hawaiian Koa, the KG-4 Pro delivers exceptional depth, clarity, and dynamic response. A one-piece genuine mahogany neck is paired with an ebony fretboard, bridge, and headplate for smooth playability and stability. Player comfort is enhanced through an ebony bevel cutaway and a newly introduced ebony armrest, inspired by Kanileʻa’s ʻukulele designs and incorporated into the guitar line for the first time.

Visually, the KG-4 Pro is distinguished by maple binding and purfling, accented with abalone detailing throughout. Lotus-inspired fret markers add subtle elegance, while a ʻNēnē bridge inlay honors Hawaiʻi’s state bird and Kanileʻa’s deep cultural roots. Thoughtful finishing touches such as black strap buttons and Gotoh black locking tuners complete an instrument designed with intention at every level.

Each KG-4 Pro Guitar includes a HAN PRO case, inspired by Kanileʻa’s premium ʻukulele cases and engineered for superior protection, durability, and everyday convenience.

The Kanileʻa KG-4 Pro is the culmination of Kanileʻa’s design philosophy—masterfully built, deeply intentional, and uncompromising in both sound and feel.

Master Grade Foundations

The KG-4 Pro begins with master grade koa, chosen for its depth, beauty, and unmistakable Hawaiian voice. An ebony bevel cutaway and maple front and back binding elevate both comfort and visual presence. New for 2026, this model introduces an ebony armrest to our guitar line, inspired by the player-focused design we pioneered on Kanileʻa ʻukulele more than a decade ago.

Inspired Detail Work

Lotus-inspired fret markers bring a refined, organic elegance to the ebony fretboard, accented with maple purfling that continues onto the headstock. Abalone details are woven throughout, framing the maple rosette and adding subtle depth without overpowering the instrument’s natural beauty. Every detail is intentional, balanced, and thoughtfully placed.

A Unified Expression

Maple purfling ties the fretboard, headstock, and rosette into a single visual language, while abalone inlays add just the right amount of brilliance. Completing the story is a ʻNēnē inlay on the bridge, honoring Hawaiʻi’s state bird and grounding the instrument in place and culture. Together, these elements create a guitar that feels cohesive, meaningful, and unmistakably Kanileʻa.
