The Kanileʻa KG-1 Guitar represents the union of Hawaiian craftsmanship and modern guitar design. Built entirely from solid Hawaiian Koa—top, back, and sides—the KG-1 delivers a warm, articulate voice with excellent clarity, balance, and visual depth. Each instrument highlights the natural beauty of koa while offering a responsive tonal character suited for both fingerstyle and strumming applications.
A one-piece genuine mahogany neck paired with an ebony fretboard, bridge, and headplate provides long-term stability, smooth playability, and a refined feel. The KG-1 is built on Kanileʻa’s refined OOO body shape, offering exceptional balance, comfort, and sound projection. A 25.0" scale length and 1.75" nut width provide comfortable string spacing, strong fundamental response, and clear note separation across the fingerboard. All models feature a durable UV-cured finish and Kanileʻa’s proprietary TRG-X bracing system, which incorporates strategic mass reduction to allow increased top movement and weight reduction while maintaining the same structural integrity and long-term stability.

Natural Series
Pure and understated, the Natural Series features a UV natural finish and Select Grade Koa, allowing the wood’s organic beauty and tonal character to take center stage.
Core Series
Elevated in both appearance and finish, the Core Series offers Deluxe Grade Koa with a UV gloss or silk finish, providing enhanced visual depth, durability, and refinement.
Pro Series
Designed for players seeking maximum performance, the Pro Series incorporates Premium Grade Koa, an oval side sound port for immersive tone, and TRU-Reduction soundboard etching to further increase resonance, sustain, and projection.
White Mother-of-Pearl position markers, Gotoh black locking tuners, and Kanileʻa’s refined construction standards enhance tuning stability, responsiveness, and overall playability across all models. The model pictured is the KG-1 Natural.
Each KG-1 Guitar includes a premium HAN PRO case, inspired by Kanileʻa’s high-end ʻukulele cases and engineered for superior protection and everyday convenience.
