Vic Kena
Vic Kena is a seasoned Polynesian musician, performer, teacher, and ʻukulele artist originally from New Zealand with over 35 years of industry experience. His rich Polynesian heritage and strong Māori roots bring depth, soul, and heartfelt expression to every performance, whether solo or with ensembles and cabaret-style shows. Vic is skilled on a variety of stringed instruments, but in recent years he has become especially known for his work on the ʻukulele both on stage and as an educator.
Based primarily in Australia, Vic manages long-term performance residencies throughout the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Brisbane, while maintaining a busy schedule of teaching, workshops, and inspiring community events. He often supports local outreach through ʻukulele therapy for the homeless, performances in elderly and respite centers, and motivational talks for youth—sharing his passion for music and its positive impact.
