Pōmaikaʻi Lyman is a Hawaiian vocalist, cultural preservationist, educator, and performer known for her soulful singing and deep commitment to perpetuating traditional mele and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. Born and raised on Oʻahu, she grew up immersed in Hawaiian music and was selected to perform in Punahou School’s Holokū music program in high school, where she developed her craft and musical voice. She later graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Pōmaikaʻi learned the distinctive haʻi singing style from her grandmother, the legendary Hawaiian singer Genoa Keawe, and has since performed regularly across Hawaiʻi, including at Waikīkī venues and community events. Passionate about preserving Hawaiian language and culture, she donates her time to nonprofit and educational organizations focused on language immersion and cultural education.

Her performances honor her family’s musical legacy while inspiring audiences with heartfelt interpretations of classic and original mele.
