Alastar McNeil of Beat-Lele
Alastar McNeil is a versatile musician, vocalist, and ʻukulele player best known for his role as “George” in Beat-Lele, an innovative Beatles tribute band from Oʻahu that performs iconic Beatles songs on ʻukuleles and cajon with remarkable detail and harmony. Beat-Lele spans the Fab Four’s catalog from Love Me Do through Abbey Road, blending island flair with timeless music.
Alastar also tours as George Harrison with the internationally known Beatles tribute show RAIN!, performing hundreds of shows annually across the U.S. He plays a custom Kanileʻa 8-string tenor ʻukulele and is a regular presence on the island music scene, performing reggae, rock, Irish, and Hawaiian-influenced music around Waikīkī and beyond.
In addition to Beat-Lele, Alastar is part of local bands RPG and Kupaaina, and holds the distinction of being the very first employee of Kanileʻa ʻUkulele.
