Rikuya

Rikuya is a rising Japanese ʻukulele virtuoso, composer, and instrumentalist known for his soulful, melodic approach to the instrument. He began playing the ʻukulele at a young age and has quickly gained attention in Japan and internationally for his expressive playing and original compositions. Rikuya blends contemporary fingerstyle techniques with heartfelt melodies that resonate across jazz, pop, and acoustic genres.

He released his first full album Palette in 2020 on Ukulele Paina Records, featuring a collection of original ʻukulele‑driven instrumentals that showcase his artistic range and creativity. Palette has been recognized in jazz and instrumental communities for its musical depth and engaging arrangements.
