Blues Lee

Blues Lee is a Korean ʻukulele artist, educator, author, and ensemble leader whose passion for music and creativity have made him a standout figure in South Korea’s ʻukulele community. He began his musical journey studying at a jazz academy in Seoul, where he learned electric guitar and music theory from master musicians before expanding his focus to composition and performance.

After completing his Master’s Degree and teaching electric guitar at the college level, Blues Lee discovered the ʻukulele and fell in love with its joyful sound and fingerstyle play. He developed his own distinctive playing style and now shares his expertise through workshops, ensemble leadership, and performances across Asia and beyond. In 2012 he became Chairman of the Korea Practical Music Association and leads the Korea T‑Aloha ʻUkulele Ensemble, teaching and inspiring over a thousand students annually.

Blues Lee has authored two ʻukulele books published by Hyundai Music Publishing, released solo albums including My Own Memory (2014) and Inside Blues Lee (2018), and has performed internationally in Thailand, Taiwan, Hawaiʻi, Japan, and South Korea.
