The rosette is a stunning mosaic of 8 additional endemic woods — Aʻaliʻi, Kou, Alaheʻe, ʻIliahi, Milo, Kamani, ʻŌhiʻa, and Koaiʻe — each representing one of the 8 main Hawaiian islands.
