Nā Leo
Nā Leo Pilimehana, also known simply as Nā Leo (“The Voices”), is one of Hawaiʻi’s most beloved and enduring music groups. Formed in 1984 by childhood friends Nalani Jenkins, Lehua Kalima, and Angela Morales, the trio launched their career by winning the Brown Bags to Stardom talent contest with their original song “Local Boys,” which became the #1 selling single in Hawaiʻi history.
For more than four decades, Nā Leo has crafted a timeless sound that blends Hawaiian contemporary with pop and soulful harmonies. They’ve released over 24 CDs andWritten and performed 20+ #1 hits, with multiple songs also reaching the national Top 25 charts.
A critically acclaimed group, Nā Leo has earned 23 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards across four decades, including honors for Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Group of the Year. Their influence stretches from Hawaiʻi to Japan, California, and beyond, and in 2024 they celebrated 40 years of music, continuing to write, record, and perform for fans around the world.
