Jody Kamisato
Jody Kamisato is a celebrated ʻukulele performer, educator, and entrepreneur whose lifelong passion for music has made a lasting impact on the ukulele community. Born in Honolulu, he picked up his first ʻukulele at age seven and began performing with the Honolulu Boy Choir by age eight, traveling the U.S. and appearing on national TV shows and recordings early in his musical journey.
Jody performed with the BS Band throughout Hawaiʻi and on tours in Japan, and his original song “Ainakoa” was featured in a commercial for Aloha Tofu. In 2007, he founded Ukulele Hale in Kaimuki, a studio and school dedicated to teaching ʻukulele players of all ages and skill levels and nurturing a new generation of musicians.
As a teacher, performer, and ambassador of aloha, Jody continues to spread the joy of music through inspiring instruction, community performances, and creative projects that celebrate the ukulele and Hawaiian culture.
