Custom Western Red Cedar Tenor Serial 29203

Designed in collaboration with artist Matt Dahlberg, this custom tenor ʻukulele combines bold tonal character with thoughtful visual storytelling.

The soundboard is crafted from warm, responsive Western Red Cedar, paired with solid Deluxe Grade Hawaiian Koa back and sides for a balanced voice with rich low-end and articulate highs. The TRU-R bracing system and TRU-Reduction soundboard etching enhances resonance and projection, while an oval side sound port offers the player a more immersive sonic experience.

This instrument features custom Roman numeral position markers inlaid with Hawaiian beach sand on an ebony fingerboard—echoed by a matching beach sand Kanileʻa logo on the ebony head plate. A Kanileʻa Crown Headstock and white Mother of Pearl side dots complete the elegant look, accented by black front binding for subtle contrast.

Finished with a UV-cured high-gloss body and silk-finished neck for smooth playability, this ʻukulele is equipped with Kanileʻa chrome open gear tuners and a Black TUSQ nut and saddle for stable tuning and accurate intonation. A meaningful, performance-ready instrument built to inspire.
