What type of strings do you use?
Kanile'a 'Ukulele was the first and still the only ‘Ukulele manufacture in Hawai’i to utilize Italian made Aquila Corde Nylgut ‘ukulele strings. These Nylgut strings have been designed to be a contemporary synthetic string that carries the same acoustic properties as a traditional gut string with the durability and longevity expected of a modern string. Most of our customers and all of our dealers prefer the “white” Aquila strings because of their brilliant tones they produce which aid in giving that unique Kanile’a tone. We understand that each ‘ukulele player has their own sound that they are envisioning on their new instrument; we can outfit your new instrument to suit your playing preference. Depending on what type of strings that you are used to, we have on hand Hilo, Worth, and De Adderio strings. Our goal is to provide you with an instrument that you love to play!
