December 2009

Mele Kalikimaka ia kakou! (Merry Christmas to everyone).  The Ukulele Club of Hawai`i had a great time Christmas Caroling and dinner at IHOP in the Windward Mall.  A big MAHALO to Bruddah Sam, Lina Girl and the whole UCH in making our first annual event such a success!

November 2009

Kanile`a `Ukulele will be at the 8th annual Ukulele Guild of Hawaii's Annual Exhibit.  Come and support the local ukulele builders as they display their fine work.

October 2009

Joe, Kristen and Kanile`a `Ukulele artist Derick Sebastian will be performing at the Southern California Ukulele Festival in Cerritos.  Joe will be conducting two "Traditions and Technologies" workshops at 9:00 am and 12:45 pm.  Derick will be teaching how to "Strum for Pa'ani (solo)" also at 9:00.  It will be a day full of performances, workshops and a whole lot of ukulele items to immerse yourself in.  Mark your calendar because on Saturday, October 3rd, the place to be for all `ukulele lovers will be at the Southern California Ukulele Festival.

 

September 2009

Christmas time is coming quick.  So, The Ukulele Club is gearing up for some Christmas caroling around Windward Mall.  Braddah Sam will be conducting this month with Christmas on his mind.
Join us on September 17th, from 5:30 to 7:30 for a Ho, Ho, Ho, Whole bunch of fun while we learn some classic Christmas Carols.

This months artist/teacher, Walt Keale is going to teach some new techniques on the ukulele.  Please join us,  Thursday August 21st, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.  Bring your `ukulele,  and prepare to jam with Walt Keale!

Joe and Kristen along with the Kanile`a crew will be in the shop finishing up our Christmas orders.  We welcome everyone to pay us a visit, take an afternoon and enjoy our free shop tour.  Maybe, you’ll get a chance to join in with one of our daily afternoon kanikapila (sharing of song).  E komo mai!  Come on in!

7th Annual Southern California Ukulele Festival

Ukulele Picnic 2008

Joe and Kristen will be attending the 'Ukulele Picnic held in Yokosuka, Japan on August 9th. We look forward to displaying our 'ukulele at 'Ukulele Puapua's booth. There will be two chances to win a Kanile`a 'Ukulele 11:30 and 1:30. You are able to enter to win at the booth. In addition Joe will be giving a clinic and performing.

The 38th Annual 'Ukulele Festival

Kanile`a 'Ukulele will be present at the 38th Annual 'Ukulele Festival at Kapiolani Park on Sunday, July 27th. Joe, Kristen and the Kanile`a crew look forward to meeting you at their booth.
